In celebration of 125 years since American writer, philosopher and naturalist, Henry David Thoreau released his seminal piece, The Maine Woods, we followed a group of historians and literarians through the same untouched lands of Maine that Thoreau fell in love with. The fourth issue of the Maine Thing Quarterly captures the wild beauty of Maine through a long-form written narative, paired with stunning photography (captured by the amazingly talented Jason Lindsey), motion and video interviews. The textural hand painted typography captures the raw inspiration Thoreau felt while on the trail writing in his journal. The Maine Thing Quarterly dives deep into niche topics that are quintessentially Maine. The Maine Thing Quarterly has had great success with an average time-on-site at 5+ minutes and >50% share rate.
